    AC Adapter for MS-1651

    Hi everyone.

    I was looking to buy a second AC adapter (and power cord) for my MS-1651 so I would not need to haul the AC adapter I have from home to work every day.

    The model of the AC adapter I have is
    LITEON PA-1900-04
    Input: AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz, 1.5A
    Output: DC 19V, 4.74A (90W)

    I searched on Google and eBay, but it seems the PA-1900-04 is used in a lot of different laptop brands and there are different connector sizes for the same AC model. I believe the connector size for the MS-1651 is 5.5 mm exterior diameter, 2.5 mm interior diameter. Can anyone please confirm this?

    Also, the search results from Google and eBay are flooded with PA-1900-04 AC adapters for Acer laptops, which don't seem to be compatible since the connector size is 5.5/1.5mm. Searching specifically for MSI-compatible adapters was not very fruitful: RK Computers had one, but mentions that it will work only for "Models Originally Equipped With A 120W Adapter", which I think is not the case with mine. Any suggestions on other sites that might carry the adapter?

    The MSI 90W part number is; 957-1039P-001, this is the MSI replacement for models equipped with 90W originally.

    The MSI 120W part number is; 957-163A1P-101, this will work on both models originally equipped with either a 90W or 120W adapter.

    Thanks a lot for the reply Rob. I'll now be able to compare prices and shop around.

    Good to know the 120W adapter will work with computers that came with a 90W adapter. Opens up more shopping possibilities ;)
