125w and your only hitting 1695c? Is it to keep the card cool and just cautious of power spikes?

    I was running 1750-1800c on my MSI 1070 before I gave up on the 17 R1 w/ 115w

wow, memory at 4700MHz! This is insane! Mine can't go higher than 4400...
What voltage do you use for 1945Mhz core?
What rev. is your 1070 - ver. 1.0 or 1.2?

Can you upload you FireStrike scores?

i'm not sure about which ver i have.. usually on 1945 it uses around 0.975-1.0 v. i use custom curves in MSI afterburner.
i can go with memory till 4800 mhz but the performance is the same, and i hit higher temps. so i keep it around 4700 which is stable and cool :) my temps maximum reaches 70-72C. with cooler boost enabled. without it on default temps 78-80 on gpu

    Thanks for the info!

Can you share your MSI AB custom curves?

    Mine works now at 1911MHz/0.912V

I just saw your 1070 is BGA, not MXM...it is completely different story. Now it makes sense why the OC capabilities are different.

i dunno why but it depends on the game, in warzone i can hit steady 1980-2050. other games it jumps from 1845-1936 sometimes 196x.. but mainly 1936...i thought i would get better results if i flash 125-135 watt vbios..i tried lower the voltage till .975 some games crash after 20-30 min. that's why i left it 1,0v

    Yeah, same here.
This is why I choose to keep it at 1911Mhz/.912V as it gives me lower temps and works with steady fps and frequencies in most games.

from longer testing -not works on msi gt75 7re :(

gpu still using 1443 base clock ,..,all time ,,small OC is unstable "random app close" ,,,and sometimes EC ?? or something get more power spikes VS oem 115w
i find some ""1518"" base clock vbios /125w/g-sync or older version this bios

...but think EC is problem for some MSI ,,,not benefits vs vbios A8 + OC

    edit
    tested non-OC /0.893mV limit
and OC "1850mhz" +205core/0.893mV "A8 tested some years"
OC scanner or other test look stable"125w bios" ,,but app sometimes random crash to desktop :(

    Pity...
I got 800pts more in FS with this one VS 8A + OC...
    This one holds stable 1911MHz/0.900V

With 8A and OC my max pts were 3530

and any long terms gaming test is stable ?? my get same small boost in testing
,,but games not works "random app render clouse ,,.OC or not" sometimes after hour or similar :(
now testing full reset EC / bios ,,lower cpu OC + full custom vcore curve ,,still 125w is better than 115w :)

and your base clock is 1480 mhz ? in load "not gpu-z" or still 1443mhz ????

Yes, I get fully stable performance for hours in games (Warzone , Borderlands 3, Battlefield for 2+ hours of session),

Honestly I have never tested the default base clock, I immediately tested it +230 core and +400 mem and it worked without any issues bur I didn’t like the temps (86-87C), then I did custom curve in MSI AB and now I am using it at 1911/0.9V - same performance but now the temps are 76-77 max.

Only 115 W and base clock only "all is disabled" all boost clock ,.,think
    ...bad vbios

info up bad translation  1443mhz -gpu still using ""base clock"" "but gpu-z say 1480" why ?
browser / video decode--base clock or before get kick to "boost 3" -example

    yours gpu its same ???

MXM and now works ,,CPU problem
not vbios problem ,..,sorry  ,,,i tested now hours 125-135w+ full vram .,static load and all look OK
add one load CPU 75wUP and get app close in second -resolved

now using new cpu setting ,,and all look OK "only base clock gpu use 1443" not 1480mhz "gpu-z info"
boost clock and TDP works normal

still using 1850/0.893mV ,,but not see power limit
    my mistake ,, sorry

in extreme loads sometimes the GPU drops to 75 W, but I think the "A8" is the same from previous testing
,,but from games stress all look normal ,,,all is OK :)

    edit..
extreme load / slow fan curve for full stress + cpu stress

You might need to do the EC trick so your laptop EC thinks that its a 1080 model, so it allows more overall power before hard throttling.

    thanks
    I know, but I don't need it :)
    my target is half/sync "60fps" -125w is OK :p

kill4l ,,this works only for TITAN
,,when exist same EC/bios RF 1080 / RE 1070 or SLI,.,possible set EC for max power draw "cpu/gpu ,.,..MAX from wall"
...I don't know anymore, but LIMIT is for my GT around 255w from wall ? RE \ gt1070 + my OC 100w CPU in extreme works normal before + A8
it would probably work with this 125w as well, but it would already need maintenance "minimal 1years old lqmetal / VR pads"

or IMON bypass works similar for all Notebooks + need fully working battery "minimal wear + full charger level 90+"

now is fully stable ,,this vbios works fine
thank you for finding him ;)
