Just picked up a gx620 recently, and i've been having some heat worries. The GPU idles at 55-58c, and after a couple hours of games gets into the high eighties. Is anybody else experiencing similarly high temps? I've heard it can run a little hot but this seems a bit much.

I'm running windows 7 and i've downloaded the most recent nvidia drivers. Is there anything I can do to lower my temps?

My 9800M GT overclocked or not overclocked idles int he high 40's low 50's on average doesnt go above 79C but on stock clock and drivers or overclocked with DOX i see as high as 83C.

The cooling of your notebook will have an effect on that of course. I wouldnt freak out unless it hit 90C.

put some good thermal paste on the GPU. Don't use silver, use non conductive ones.

AC5 is fine. I usually don't go over 80*C while overclocked at 600/900/1500...

I would suggest you update the bios if you have not done so yet. There is much better fan managment in the newer bios versions. I remember my GX620 was pretty hot when running it for the first few times without an updated bios. Now I idle in the mid 40s and don't go over 80 C when gaming. Good luck!

Did you update the MSI-1651 bios or the 9600GT bios? Thanks.
