    Greetings,

i have read trough all the 170+ pages in official thread, and could not figure it out.

Can someone please post result from q9000 version and p9500 version, both in stock and using turbo. Preferably in 1900 x 1200 version. 1680 x 1050 will do as well.

Would love to see 3dmark06 and crysis benchmark results.

Also have a question. How much in performance wise 075us/210uk model loses vs 074us/087uk, if i run the games not in native 1900 x 1200 resolution, but in 1680 x 1050 resolution.
    Thanks

I read something similar to the asus w90, and although there were no hard numbers that I recall, most people agreed that for your usual tasks such as gaming, higher clocked dual core out performs a lower clock speed quad.

The only time the lower speed quad will be better than the dual core is during intense cpu processing such as video rendering or maybe 3d rendering, other than that, I'd stick with the higher dual core.

It is true, i am aware of that. but i would like to see hard numbers in that. Since, for me the laptop is long term investment, id rather go with quad core. For example, gta4 supports quadcore, and q9000 has an edge over there. Yet, it is one of the first games doing that, many are to follow i suppose.

But i would like to see hard numbers.

    Also waiting comments about resolutions

I read through the W90 and it seems the quad core was a bit slower, but not by anything worthwhile vs the dual core. Specially since you can OC and at high resolutions the CPU stops being the problem most of the times, and it all depends on your GPU.

I would go for the quad myself.

Too bad the 725 doesn't have a quad option. At least not on xoticpc. In fact, there's like no options, only things you can customize are software and accessories. I want glossy screen and cpu choices!

Thanks for the link, some interesting reading over there. But i have seen people with quadcore here(sena18). If it is not much trouble, would love to see the results

This retailer has several cpu options including quad core:

The GT725-212US with a Q9000 is due out in a few weeks. Same specs as the GT725-075US but with the quad core cpu.

Sort of off topic, but I am going to buy either the GT627 or GT725,( I like the GT627's smaller profile but love the GT725 performance)
1.Exactly how much bigger is the GT725 over GT627?
2.Does the GT725 have any of the GT627 slightly negative drawbacks?(Mainly keyboard flex and the touchpad being worn down quick.)
    Thanks

The truth is that even a Q9000 performs worse than P9500 even in GTA IV at least with what Sena posted.

725 is compatible even with Q9100 and QX9300.
    Bt they cost a bomb.

    GT725 is 17" and GT627 is 15" and sumthing.
So GT627 is like any other laptop but I feel GT725 is on the bigger side for portability but on the table it makes no difference.
