I might be able to get a Logitech x530 for cheap from a guy who's moving out. I would like to know if I can connect them to my MSI 1722 laptop without needing any extra hardware. There are 4 3.5mm jacks on the right side (one for headphones, one for mic, I really dont know what the other 2 are for), will those be enough? Or should I just pass on the x530s and get some 2.1?

What is the sound card you have? If you have Realtek, you can software set the input of the 3.5mm jacks to a 5.1 set.

Yeah, I believe I have a Realtek onboard sound card.
