So i got a 4850 today installed it and put the heatsink everything seemed fine but nothing post on the screen anyone know what i should do?
-
nvm got it to work getting an average 267.9 fps compare to the 100-120 fps even lower but odnt know whic hdrivers to choose and wondering is it natural to get into cpuz and it cant find the temps?
-
what did you do to make it work ? you mean GPUz ?
You can use hwmonitor or hwinfo32 for the temps.
Try the 10.3 preview is out , no modding required

yea tried the 10.3 and it works now it shows on cpuid and the temsp while i did the css stress test to see my frames was 275fps and the temps for cpu was 53 and 66 and the temps for gpu didnt go over 68 and of couse this is all without my external fan on.
im guessing those are good temps? my cpu temp was never that with the 9600m but the gpu seems to be less than the 9600 seems wierd.
i had to reset the heatsink and i noticed one of the washers i used behind the card was turning while i turned the screw so i had to make it more stable now everything is working perfectly.
edit: idle temps cpu 41 and 44
gpu is 51
all on gaming mode. -
Those temps are fine
-
yea temps goes about 70 - 73 seems good i guess.
-
When gaming ? those should come down with a cooler anyway.
So , you gonna OC that thing ? -
im not sure yet... i doubt it

all of this the gpu is only different in temps was 73(9600m gt) and 75(4850) cpu is only a 5 degree difference.
but in gaming i see a big difference and luckly the washers i found in home depot fitsdidnt have to destroy my 9600m gt backplate.
