I have a question, I recently purchased a 1722 barebones from an ebay seller, Its the red and black one. I purchased a 3870 GPU and want to know if this graphics card will work in the 1722.

you will have to mod the hell out of the heatsink. It would be very easy to do if the 3870 came with it's own heatsink.

I was going to puchase a Sager 5793 barebones with the 8800m GTX which was $100.00 more than I paid for the 1722. Even though the 5793 had a better gpu the rest was older tech which I didnt like, people in the forum said it would be better to go with the 1722 so I did. I just hope the 3870 will pass post and work.

Yea, I've seen those on ebay, really nice barebone. The only thing that sucks about them is that they don't support quads and they are so thick compared to the 1722.
