    What type of speakers? Altec?

    Some like good as the Asus M70VM?

    They are not branded speakers. Only the multi-national brands buy into branding their speakers because it is only good for marketing...not performance.

    The PowerPro I 8:17 internal sound system will blow away the ASUS system. It is loud and clear. It is probably the best audio in a laptop I have ever heard.

    Of course having said that no laptop's internal speakers will be really good for an audiophile, but the sound card will drive any good quality headset or external 7.1 Surround Sound speakers beautifully. However these are plenty good enough to watch a DVD movie or to play audio that you can hear in the next room.
