    1651 gpu air flow

    why are the air holes over the gpu covered with plastic? why are they even there if they arent open for airflow? has anyone removed the plastic?

    That's a good question, I was wondering the same thing.. I might try and open them up, The more air flow, the better.. I will let you know..

    yeah i was thinking about just opening them up regardless. if they are needed for some reason i cant fathom then i guess i can cover it back up with electrical tape.

    I'm assuming they aren't completely covered. If so the plastic might be there so that dust and large particles/dirt won't get inside your laptop.

    You will just have to be more careful with your laptop and maybe clean it more often.

    Ok I removed mine and I noticed a decrease in temps so it was well worth taking it off.. Thanks..
