So i am nervous about reseating my cpu as I am unsure as to what will happen to the thermal pads. Do i need to buy new ones? if so where do i get them and what is the best way to remove the old ones? thanks.

*I am assuming your notebook has the same cooling as mine*

The CPU shouldn't have a pad, just clean the old paste off and put new paste.

Same goes for the GPU core.

The northbrige has a pad, try not to damage it. If the pad is dry, you better get a new one. (or do the copper shim mod).

The vRAM has pads, don't damage them...
The inductors on the GPU should also have pads, same thing, dont damage, check if dry then replace.

cool thanks, its not dry at all, just was unsure on whether or not to reuse it. I applied too much thermal paste and my core 0 temps are getting way too high while gaming.

Less is more when it comes to thermal paste.
