    hi im im not totally new to this forum but i finally registered up..

    any way i just bought a gx700 for 150 dollars. its a neat pc lets me play l4d2 and dmc3 but i wanna upgrade the gpu to a 260m gtx... and upgrade cpu also for the time being until i buy my g73

    the curret specs

    cpu-core 2 duo [email protected]

    ram-3 gb

    hdd-500

    gpu-poot butt 8600 gt

    The gtx 260m doesn't fit in that notebook. The 9500m GS fit, but its the same as 8600m gt. Every better card is too hot. Maybe some quadro will work.

    As for the cpu you can get ones with 800MHz FSB such as T7700, T9300, T9500, os maybe the X9000.

    If what the above poster said, you'd be better off just getting what you can out of the laptop, and saving your money towards your next laptop. The tech in that laptop is generations old, and you'd spend more money than it's worth IMHO.
