I'm looking at the 1022 from Rawpowerpc, and I'm pretty happy with price/performance ratio.

I want to thank Unleaded, for your AWESOME review and constant updates as to the quality of this notebook. You're posts have helped me out a lot.

I'm going to be ordering within the next week, I just have a couple really lame questions.

I read something in your review and on another MSI model's thread that the back of the LCD has a blank back-lit rectangle where a logo would be. Is this the case with the 1022? Does something get put there after the machine is assembled? Kind of lame to just be blank...as someone said in another thread: "it just screams ALMOST finished". Not going to change my mind, just wondering.

Also, what would the best ordering procedure be? I think I would rather use the internet, but I could use that online chat for some help. Any opinions?

Again thanks, not just to Unleaded, but everyone who helped me pick something out.

    ttupa,

Yes, there is an LCD "cutout" on the lid and unless the reseller provides a badge of some sort (most do not) it will simply have a clear plastic cover over the opening.

I suppose the means by which you order is really a question of your own comfort level. If the reseller offers an online chat it sounds like that might be a good means for contacting them to have any remaining questions answered.

    Glad my review was helpful!
