Can anyone help me. I have a few problems with my setup on my 1022.
all of my drivers are installed and working properly as far as device manager
is concerned, but my audio sketches out every once and a while especially
when I enhance any video to full sreen ex(Nullsoft Tiny Fullscreen in Winamp)
Also during dvd's and othe audio playback.

Also my usb devices are having trouble
If I plug in a flat base cooler to the usb and use it for awhile, the laptop will
occasionally restart for no reason. Also my usb mouse is a little lazy. it will
occasionally let go of dragging items or freeze for half a second.
and my red light in the phone jack is gone.

I know some laptops ask you to load the drivers in a certain order, but I
could not find any info on that for the 1022. Has anyone expereinced bad
drivers and if so how fix it and were do you go to the good ones.

These aren't huge problems, but very annoying and dissapointing when you
think that you were buying the best. Oh and I did recive it with one dead pixel.

Other than that I am happy with the 1022.

If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated
    thanks

40 gig tosheba 4200 or 5400 not sure (from old laptop)

Have you tried updating your audio drivers?

Yes, but only once because all the other drivers I have found were of the
same date and I still had the problem. If there was a certain order the
drivers were suppose to be installed would that have gotten fixed when I
updated the drivers or would I have to reinstall all the drivers in the
    spacific order.

When I first got mine I updated all of the drivers. After getting the latest audio driver, I had skippy audio and many random restarts (BSODs). I reverted to the factory supplied audio driver, and it was much better.

As far as driver order...I guess I didn't mess with that much. However, I tried MS Bootvis to reorganize startup files.

Go to www.msicomputer.com and find the 1022 download page. The downloads are very up to date. If you don't find results in the drivers, you could try the BIOS. I haven't, and am sort of weary to...just because of the implications. Also because, as of now, I am having no problems.

I don't think installing drivers in a certain order has an effect on how they are loaded either. They are stored in the same place, regardless. If you find a program to reorganize let me know.

thanks for your help, but I still have the problem.

Here is a test for everyone with a 1022 and nvidia go 6200
play a song in Winamp or Win media then select the full screen visualization.
What happens for me is the song skips for about half a second entering and exiting the full screen visualization.
let me know what happens to you thank.
this could help me determine if the problem is my hardware or not.
    thanks

i tested my ms-1022 audio as you specified. i played an 3 2.5 min mp3 files on all the media players installed in my notebook --Realplayer, Windows Media Player, Cyberlink DVD de luxe, Quicktime, and another wma file with WMP at full screen and full audio. so far i did not encounter any problem nor observed with my notebook what you noted with your machine. But what I did notice is that there was somekind of skipping noice when I suddenly change the size of my screen in WMP from Full Screen to Skin Mode. But once it is in the mode I chose, the audio file plays ok. My Realtek HD Audio driver date is 18 Oct. 2005.

    thanks
I have found out that it only happens with the visualizations in certain media players.
Playing a movie clip and going into fullscreen works fine.
I have also found out it has to do with the nvidia geforce go 6200
because when I uninstall my video drivers and use only windows drivers I don't have
this problem. I have updated my video drivers, but I am not sure if I have the latest ones because nvidia does not provide the drivers for the mobile cards which I think is dumb on their part.
I have version 9.1.0.429 drivers for my video. If you know were I can get better ones then I would appreciate that
    thanks.
