As i felt about ready to order a 1039, i see the 1058. I'm a big fan of the smaller size, but am turned off by the lack of serious gpu. on the other hand the better ram availability on the 1058 is appealing, and then there is the upgradability.... so basically.... zomg eek what to do?!

Well, if you don't game that much, go for the MS-1058... Otherwise, if you don't multi task, or don't plan to use multithreaded apps, go for the 1039.

well, i game a decent amount, but i wouldnt call that my focus. i do alot of cg (3ds max, PS, etc) and <3 multitasking
...what counts as multithreaded software?
...to what extent will the processor and ram advantages compensate for the lack of real gpu? (in games? in general usage?) are the future-proof aspects of the 1058 realistic, or will upgrading the system be a difficult and likely problematic process?
...3d mark and pc mark scores tell me almost nothing, thus it is difficult to decide -
Late reply.. but, between that I would go with 1039 because better GPU would be better for gaming and graphical work, also will be better for Windows Vista when that comes out.
