    Hey guys,

I have read a few benchmarks and tests now, but since they use different specs/hardware I really can't compare it to my Laptop.

    My specs are the following:

    i7 3630QM
    16GB RAM
    Geforce GTX 675MX
    Samsung SSD Pro (500GB)

Basically i have tested both System with a clean install (8.1 and 10) and I have the feeling 8.1 runs a bit quicker - Might be more optimized drivers.

But i would like to know if someone has any experience with a similiar Laptop (or specs) and can say a bit more - Maybe a expert?

    Thanks guys.

Honestly, I don't have the same laptop, but I don't think its worth it if you are used to Win 8.1. I kinda upgraded, then went back to 8.1, then upgraded again a couple of times.

I am currently using windows 10 but because I am a bit lazy as to downgrade again hahaha. I don't think it's worth it at all, after using win 8.1 for a long while. I am seriously considering just rolling back to 8.1 and keep it that way. I also found it slightly snappier with 8.1 than 10.

The only reason I would use w10 is to use DX12, but that is still some time to appear in games.

I first liked the look and feel of Win10, but after testing out Win8.1 again with some tweaks (mouse scroll on inactive window, tiny window borders) it still feels better and snappier.

The only dislike i have, after using Win10 now for a bit: The bigger taskbar on Win8.1. The size on Win10 is simply perfect for me. But i still prefer stability/performance > some mascara and lipstick.

Well, there are games with DX12, but i think to use the full potential of DX12 it still needs time and in this time we hopefully get optimized drivers (at least for my machine).

Does Nvidia still have crappy drivers for Win 10? I haven't really gamed on my laptop much since I fixed it, and the drivers have been the main reason I've avoided the upgrade.

Yep, they still have crappy drivers.

If i use the typical combo: Current chipset + current intel hd graphics + current nvidia i get this switching "bug" (issue?).

The only thing which works for me: Chipset drivers from the MSI site (which are pretty old), current intel hd graphics driver + current nvidia drivers - This makes my nvidia GPU is on all time, no switching but it works. Don't know how and/or why, but i have even tried older win8.1 drivers for Win10 which still gave me headaches.
