Finally! They moved the freakin' Window Key to the left back where it belongs!

I can't wait to get my hands on this new beast with its new keyboard [IMG]

I'm planning to trade my GT73 for one of these, once Volta comes out.

Wow that keyboard actually looks pretty great. I'm not a huge fan of the MSI chiclet keyboards (nothing wrong with them, I just don't think they're the top on the market) but this one looks like it could be really good.

At simple view it seems its keyboard and palmrest the biggest changes over the GT73VR, do you guys think the cooling (fans and pipes) are the same or do you think they had to give something up for fitting this keyboard?

The laptop is thicker, to support the keyboard, and the chance that MSI would compromise the cooling is close to zero.

The cooling solution has gotten beefier and more elaborate with each generation (I've owned GT70, GT72, and GT73) , so I'd expect no less here.

Is it possible to pull out the windows and function key and swap them in GT73VR?

    Did anyone try it yet?

I hope that this time MSI orders a L type ENTER button from steel series for EU consumers. I am quite irritated the US type keyboard.

I skipped buying GT73VR just because of that model, hope I won't regret after ASUS Rog series in regards to noise development. I was almost committing suicide back then when I had CLEVO.

Given the timing of Volta next year, and then the mobile parts - given the jump in thermals expected - maybe that's why Nvidia wants a parallel line of detuned "M" GPU's started up now with Pascal, I think MSI will need to rev the name again...

GT76? GT77?... or maybe a new line altogether...

Another interesting development, will be the 6-core Cannon/Coffee Lake laptop chips that Intel is reportedly going to put out in 2018.

Since I only have one trade in left, I'd like to hold out for those as well, to get the best upgrade possible.

Usually we get some early listings in some countries for new MSI products, but nothing yet.

Sometimes we don't get any hints until release to shipping. It looks like that's what's going to happen this time.

It's unknown when it's coming out too...

    Good to know!

tbh i dont need the K cpu. I already owned a clevo 770DM-G w a 980m +6700kand was extremely unhappy because there was alot of tweaking involved to get it to run "nicely". I had to delid + clu + prema bios to get my temps to what was acceptable. Thank God for "Clevo Overclockers Lounge" members who helped me with my clevo laptop. I hardly do cpu intensive tasks also so i dont really need the raw cpu power but if the 7820hk comes standard with a gt75vr then its ok but if there is a premium for a k processor i would take a pass on it just because i dont want to tinker with my system.

so i've heard! I actually owned an msi before but just an entry level ge60 with gtx660m but it was fine up until i sold it in 2015. Amazing thermals too despite the plastic body. the top of the line msi laptops(gt60/70) was too expensive for me back then but i think i am ready to commit to a longtime unit so i am hoping the gt75 will be "the one" or a gs63/73 with a full fat 1070 and a true 3-5ms response time on the screen(hopefully no marketing bs on response time).

    @jpsm

Indeed, the MSI GT73VR Titan Pro is one of the few laptops that I've owned, especially, high performance laptops that is that simply works out of the box, no need for repasting CPU/GPU, no need for much tinkering to get things to work and not have the CPU throttle, plus, it has one of the best 120hz / 5ms screens and a superb SteelSeries Keyboard [IMG]! Just adds to the overall pleasant experience!

    GT75VR 7RF-033 Titan Pro 4K

    Promotional images: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5xtS7re-AmZd0paS1RZQXJWYzQ/view?usp=drivesdk (RAR file)

Detailed specs list (German language, but looking for one in English): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5xtS7re-AmZeEZYQmJIT1YxVGc/view?usp=drivesdk (pdf)

Already up for preorder at some German shops. Compared to the GT73VR 4K modell the GT75VR 4K model costs 400 eur (~450 USD) more. (This price is probably subject to change)

Full hd version is also up for order which also costs about 450 USD more than the previous one.

Delivery estimate for both are 4-5 weeks.

This is an awesome unit to see! I've loved my GT73 over any other manufacturer's machine since I received it back in January. The GT75 looks awesome, and I've seen people commenting about trade-ins, how would that work for this model?

Have anyone confirmed that trade-ins are still a thing with MSi?

The GT73 and GT83 variants never had "upgrade" tied into their marketing material AFAIK.

Seems like a couple of cryptic new things in the Bios:

    NVSR support
    MSI WOL Support

Can't find anything else new rn.

Wonder if the first has something to do with Gsync?

    WOL = Wake on LAN
NVSR = Nvidia Self Refresh (Panel) In addition, it fully supports the newest NVSR (nVIDIA Self Refresh), a low power consumption functionality patented by nVIDIA®.

3000usd is too much for a lad like me. 2k usd is the ideal range and anything more results in diminishing returns (in my humble opinion ofc though some people like @Phoenix would disagree)

For me its not always about the money. What does the GT75VR offer me over my GT73VR? Nothing but some keyboard lights so I skip. If I was in the market for a new laptop and I didn't have on currently or had a very old one, then yes I'd only get the GT75VR Titan Pro unless I had a tight budget. But right now, I am not feeling the GT75VR Titan Pro

GT75 is overpriced in my country.
Processor and Gpu is not Different with GT73
Whether the HDR feature in gt75 greatly makes the display image change?

In my country too (philippines) everything is overpriced here bec of taxes etc. Only thing close to the retail price in usa are apple/macbooks lol. And asus/msi does not give warranty to products bought from abroad. Only dell/alienware gives you the full home service warranty here thats why i went with a aw15r3.
