So, the 10th gen GE76 Dragon Tiamat never went into real production because MSI wanted to wait for 11th gen intel CPUs and now it's finally here. These are very limited but they just popped up in stock today and I grabbed one with the 11980HK, 3070 max P, and 360hz panel. I've wanted this since it was shown off early this year and I'm happy to see its real. Scalpers are grabbing these and already listing them for 5000 to 7000 dollars. Links below, mine should be here tomorrow if it doesn't get canceled.

They only had the option for the 1080p 360htz iirc.

Edit: Just checked, yea its just the one screen.

Yeah, unless it's the same 360hz panel that alienware uses, I am afraid it will suck. The Asus scar 17 uses the newer 360hz panels and they are said to be very dim and dull , at around only 260 nits. If this panel is anything but amazing, I'll be returning it since this laptop is already extremely priced

yea....No where lists the part number for the screen. I hope its the better one. And at this price point it should be.

I'm betting it's not and is the same panel that asus uses. MSI has a high tendency to use crap panels, no matter the price or edition. Mine was delayed a day because Newegg is trash so I should have it tomorrow for testing. I'm hoping all is good because this is one of the best performing and looking laptops out there.

I look forward to hearing. though if its just a bit dimmer that shouldnt be a huge issue for myself. As i mostly play on an external display.

Though I'd love someone to provide a screen that can do HDR and the like.

Attached are some more beautiful shots of the finalized design on this machine. They changed it quite a bit from when it was first announced.

Nice, I got the tiamat Eddition so I hope mine looks as good. I even waffled on wanting to fill in the engraving with a brassy colored paint. lmao

Found another review of this new 17 inch 3ms 360hz IPS panel that all the manufacturers are using, and it looks like it will be pretty good according to the quote from the reviewer below. MSI has better color options in the dragon center as well so it should be even better than what dell and asus offer.

"It has impressive quality levels. The brightness level of 329cd/m2 combines with a black point of 0.24cd/m2 to serve up a contrast ratio of 1,329:1, which is rock-solid for an IPS panel"

I'll find it, it was a review for the Asus 17 that has the same panel as the GE76. I don't think we will see reviews for the 11th gen GE76 raider or tiamat for a while since they are still nowhere to be found. Mine should be here in the next few hours!

Yes, it arrived damaged. The screen had a very yellow tint and one of the keyboard keys was knocked out and wasn't fixable. It was sent back to Newegg. Looks like I'll be sticking to my scar 17 since they don't have more stock to replace it and I had to choose quickly between keeping my scar 17 or the ge76. Bad luck

Damn that really sucks. Would the Yellow tint be from the damage?

Last November when I went to buy the GT76 Titan DT 10sgs, my local computer dealer a very good man said just wait another few months and the RTX 3000 series will be out.
In hindsight now I am glad I didn't wait.
I wanted a laptop that I knew I could overclock if I wanted too and something that would withstand the heat in the tropical area I live in with 35 C plus heat.

Is it possible to flash the bios of a 3080 via the 3070? And can someone make the Rom available?
    Thanks
