    Quick notes/ first-hand look:

    - Screen has flex but not crazy flex, only if you hold it at the extreme ends of the screen.
    - Killer Wireless 1535 did not want to connect to 5GHz out of box, had to connect to 2.4GHz and update firmware.
    - Keyboard is the nicest of all laptop keyboards (MacBook Pro, XPS15) I've tried so far but the keys are just a smidgen too far apart, just needs some getting used to. (Will measure distance between keys)
    - Very big and heavy and I quote the airport security checkpoint guy, "weighs like a bag of rocks.".

Sorry @Phoenix! I copied your thread style from the GT73VR. Hope you don't mind!

I realised I've been running the computer in ECO mode in Dragon Center and benchmarking which is super dumb of me. It is 3AM at the moment. I will rerun the benchmarks tomorrow again.

If anyone has any other tips for me to prep the computer for benchmarking, do let me know, so I will not make stupid mistakes like that again. I also need help with doing a HDR-enabled and HDR-disabled test.

P.S: I will do a stock benchmark and then a safe O.C benchmark with the help of the pros! :) (Psst~ @Phoenix)

The difference between 5ms and 3ms on the MSI GT models is a different revision of the same model number. The model number hasn't changed, but the latest revision is 3ms.

    Check your revision...Rev. C2 is 5ms, C3 is 3ms

8 bit panel manufactured in 2016...

    Well there are 3 options:
    1) Chi Mei is so lazy that they dont even care to update basic information like manufacturing date in the edid
    2) Chi Mei is using the same 8 bit 5ms panel as before but they somehow software ocerclocked it so it would run slightly faster (5ms->3ms) so they could sell it as "New tech".
    3) you got yourself a 5 ms panel instead of 3 ms

Why do I have a feeling that the New panel in the Asus Chimera Will be a bigger hit than expected ?

There is a simpler way to tell...... Where did you buy it? If in US, then it’s a 3ms.
If he bought it in US, then it’s a 100% 3ms panel. If not , it might be 3 or 5 ,depends on SKU.

First issue, your Intel Speed Shift Technology is turned off...... Here's how mine looks.......

Please contact MSI and tell them to enable Intel Speed Shift by default in their BIOS

Maybe put C-States to disabled as well. Come on bruh, I know you can  And don’t forget Windoze power plan :p

Edit. I forgot you should run CINEBENCH_R15 afterwards :)
You can use ThrottleStop, if you really really want Intel Speed Shift Technology. @Phoenix

Will it make a difference? I’ve OCed it to 4.2 like how @Phoenix did it. My GPU is still stock speeds.

Not the big difference. I just hate all types power savings features. Read you up on Intel Speed Shift Technology.
