    I had fx603.
    I know its old model.but I like this model.
    So I need upgrade andthen bought i7 740qm.
    But I try install i7 740qm but cant booting.
    So I felt so sad.
    How to intall and booting ?

    I know it can be physically installed, I'm asking why you though a 7th gen CPU would work in a 4th gen machine without a BIOS update.

    The socket of the motherboard is correct, but is there a way to recognize why the CPU is not recognized?

    From Google, FX603 use Nvidia Optimus (switchable graphics) the i7 740QM doesn't have onboard graphics so that is likely why it is not working.
