Hi,
I have a Laptop model GT83VR SLI 1070 and i have a strange problem.
Every first boot when the computer is close, i see the MSI logo maybie3-4 minutes before i can access Bios or Windows.
If i dont unplug the computer, every time i reboot, every boot is fast until i close it for the night.
I made some test, i unplug every hard disk and ssd and try to enter in bios at first boot ( or i unplug the powersupply of the compter and wait 5 minutes) and same issues, need to wait 3-4 minutes before i can go in the bios.
I try to put 1-2-3-4 memory slot and same problem.
My bios is up to date E1915IMS.10A and EC version es a 1815EMS1.108.
I reinstall Windows to be sure and same problem.
Here my config:
I7 6820HK
64 gigs ram (4X 16 gigs ddr4 2400MHZ)
SLI 1070
Anyone known or have that problem because i really need help on this one.
Other thing i try to put a ubuntu dual boot on the laptop for test but i have delete all partition and reinstall a fresh windows 10 installation on it.
Thk in advance, i really need help

MSI logo frozen for 4 minutes with no drives installed?
sounds like defective hardware somewhere.
Remove the slave MXM 1070 card from the system and try to boot with only one card installed. -
I am now having the same issue where the computer will only boot to the MSI logo and stays there. Unable to access the bios. I have tried removing ram, hdd and ssds with no luck. Is there a magic key sequence to get the machine to allow for a USB bios update or do I need to grab the aligator clips and IC programmer to flash the bios from another machine. The really odd thing is that the machine will boot sometimes all the way into windows and works without issue. I have had it sitting in suspend mode, plugged in and running since the last time it successfully booted for a month. Today, I decided to try and figure out what the issue was so copied off all my data, created a recovery USB and rebooted the machine and now I am stuck in MSI hell. Would love some insight.
Thanks in advance! -
Also is this the bios chip? one in the middle with red dot?
