    Why take something as thin and light as a Surface and stick it in a suitcase designed for a laptop? Seems like overkill.

    For thinness I use the sleeve.

    When i travel I need to carry charger and few other things. That time I need the bag which is extremely small!

    It's a usage scenario and will differ from person to person.
    May be you don't need anything apart from the surface
