    Hello everyone.

I'm interested in buying the surface book 2, coming from a lenovo miix 700 with 12" screen. I'm upgrading mainly for a bigger screen. I really love the 2-in-1 form factor.

I'm wondering if there any predictions for deals on the upcoming black Friday.
As there won't be a newer version this year of the surface book, do you think there will be really good deals on the surface book 2?

    Thanks

Maybe. the best deals will be on the older models to move them out. That was the main reason I went to my dell 2 in 1 devices. I was running a surface 3, moved to a macbook Then to my dell. My wife liked the smaller form factor of the surface, but wanted a better typing experience so we got a inspiron 11 3000 2 in 1 for her. Are you going for the 13 or 15 inch version?

I'm looking for the 13.5" model, and mostly the base model with i5 without gpu. It's considerably cheaper and being fanless is a great plus for me.
When you say older models, you mean surface book 1st gen like last year's sales?

NO, the older models of the book 2 at this point. They released updated versions, so the older versions will be moved out the door cheaper I am thinking. I was looking at getting a book, but I would never use the tablet mode alone since I have an ipad, So I have decided after Christmas to get another xps 15 2 in 1. I had one and thought it was too big, and sent it back. Now I am regretting that decision.

What are the older models? And what are the main differences?

just different specs. Last gen processors etc. Really no big deal in the large scheme of things since I use a notebook from 2008 with windows 10 and it's just fine!

You sure there are new models of the surface book 2? I don't think processors changes since it's release last year

I thought they updated them this past few weeks with the new stuff. Maybe I am mistaken.

Hey Kamal, how much are you looking to spend? I know of one here that I might be able to get you a deal on. The guy bought it, used it 2 times, and went back to his desktop. It's back in its box. Let me know. It has a three year best buy warranty and pen included as well.

Have you checked over on swappa.com? I've bought and sold several laptops over the years. You can also get a good baseline for the used market pricing.
