I have a Surface Laptop 1 with a crack on the screen and I am thinking of sending it in for repair. In the UK it costs about £400.

If I were to send it in, would they replace with a new model or the exact same one?

Which model is it exactly? 400 to replace a lcd on surface a pro is crazy as even the lcd from the 5th model doesnt cost anything near this price.

The surface lineup is not easily repaired. No, the parts themselves are not that expensive, but the time involved in replacing them and doing it right is. I have seen very few surface devices that worked correctly after a repair.
