Right now I am using ubuntu 8.04 with gnome and have decided I want something more lightweight but I like the way gnome looks and feels.

Is there an easy way to make xfce look and feel like gnome, such as the way it is in Xubuntu.

I plan to put it with arch which i will be installing soon.

If you have any other suggestions other then xfce let me know.

    Thanks

Yes, all you have to do is add panels and move the items around to look like whatever you want it to look like. I guess if you really wanted to, you could install Xubuntu with a separate /home partition, which would give you its Xfce settings, and then install Arch while keeping your /home partition intact. That would allow you to have Xubuntu's Xfce configuration in Arch without having to manually set it up.

Glad to hear it will be that easy. I was worried It would take a lot of random command line work and editing files.

    Thanks ;)
