I am looking to install an mp3 player on My UBUNTU. I know there are quite a few options out there. But here is what I need.

    1. Should have an option for sound presets.
    2. Should read more formats. a few of my files are in WMA.
    3. Should be compatible with my creative zen micro.

    What would you recommend?

    1) No idea what you're talking about.
    2) Install the codecs.
    3) Rhythmbox.

    1. I meant equalizers or preset equalizers.

    2. Ok,thanks that's a solution, but is there one with all codecs pre-installed?

    3. does rhythmbox have direct compatibility ot Creative zen micro?

    1. dont know either since i use amarok

    2. if there was Lysander would have mentioned it but probably all you have to do in ubuntu is start the music and you will be prompted for the drivers and just have to follow instructions to install them

    3. again Lysander would not have recommended it if it didnt have. and why dont you try TESTING it to see if it works before asking if it dont after someone tells you it does

A lot of the codecs are proprietary so you don't get them out of the box, but are easily installable.

Amarok should be able to fulfill your three points.

I say... why don't you just try them out yourself? You know your needs better than we do, and it's not like they cost anything to try.
