Hey guys, I notice that I'm accidentally placing the insertion point of text fields in different places when I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I think i'm either hitting the trackstick, the touchpad or a combination of both while typing. Needless to say this has very bad effects on my typing.

In Mouse options the box marked "disable touchpad while typing" is checked, yet (and i've tested it by holding down a letter and moving the cursor with the touchpad) I still experience the insertion point jumping up/back/ahead lines and affecting my documents. This happened twice in this post alone.

Besides plugging in an external keyboard (not gonna happen as the only spare board I have uses legacy PS-2 inputs) is there something I'm missing to prevent this from happening. I know I couuld adjust my typing style, but I haven't had to under previous versions of Ubuntu and Windows.

    Thanks :)
