will linux able to use thinkpads shock system and SD card reader?
i am also considering to change intel pro/wireless to intel wireless wifi..

I read sites about using ndiswrapper to make the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN work. Do u guys think its worth it? Ubuntu will eventually support it right? -
Intel has announced somewhere that the Linux drivers for 4965 would be released in the second quarter of 2007.

I'm currently running straight Debian on a ThinkPad Z61t, which I bought six weeks ago.
It's lovely. The machine is very well-behaved. Suspend-to-RAM actually works (with a wee bit of tweaking), which is a new and delightful experience for me.
Drivers for all the Z61t components are available. The only major component in the shiny new T61 for which Linux support doesn't already exist is the Intel wireless network interface. Intel has promised initial support some time in the next few weeks, so there probably won't be much of a wait there.
So, yes. ThinkPads run Linux, quite well.
