I'm intending to do a dual boot of ubuntu on my HP dv5t. However, when I go to download there are 32 and 64 bit options. I wasn't sure which would work best. According to this article https://help.ubuntu.com/community/32bit_and_64bit 64 bit is recommended. So I'm currently downloading that. Is there any reason I should use 32 bit over the 64 bit version.

    Specs:

    Core 2 Duo - P7350 2.0 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce 9600m GT

    Thanks!

Since you have 4GB RAM you should probably go with 64 bit so that all of it can be used :)

And pretty much everything on my DV7T worked out of box. The audio was my only prob, but it was an easy fix. I don't have my latop on hand, but PM me if you have probs with the audio. Or anything for that matter.
