This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    linux and studio 1555

    Has anybody installed ubuntu or any other distro on dell studio 1555 (my specs below). I would like to know if there are any issues. I knew about my old laptop, what all are required since i had updated it so many times, i knew a few tweaks that were always required .. but at the end i had a perfectly working laptop, which was more fulfilling and entertaining - thanks to beryl and compiz :) .

    Let me know if there are any experiences around.
