I read somewhere that you can get Wikipedia offline. My prelim google search yielded a lifehacker link that I might get at some point atleast 6 months in the future but not now. Has anybody tried to get Wikipedia offline in a way that will not take 36 hours? I'd like to try it because my school removed their wifi and now won't let students use their own laptops on the network. They want us to use the LANschool infested dinosaurs in the library. it's driving me nuts. I have an online class to do! Anyway I could do quite a bit if I had wikipedia offline. I'm working on getting my course text offline too.
ETA ok I'm going to try out okawix it had good reviews and seems to be terminal-challenged friendly

Cool thanks. I now have the school wikipedia downloaded. It's not the greatest but its good enough to cover some of the must haves.

LOL ^ My laptop doubles as my kindle. I've got some e-books but I still like my paperbacks best.
