    Is there anyway to do this without having to rebuild the kernel for an Intel CPU?

    Hmm seems it impossible then :/ as they're telling me on their help site for it to just recompile a kernel. I'll just keep my voltages then and just leave it as it is.

    You don't have to recompile the whole kernel. Just the relevant modules.

    hmm i may try it then... First though i'll be sure to back up all my data incase something goes wrong.


    edit:Thomas i guess i'm an idiot. I"ve just installed it, and it's not working. I cannot get it to run via cpufreqd. And also the readme doesn't say much about it. That program's obviously for people who can "magically" move through the terminal. I have seen no option to change the voltage setting.

    The "relevant modules" are no longer modules but have been compiled directly into the kernel since Jaunty. That's why you need a patched/reconfigured/recompiled kernel, and if you don't want to do it yourself you can use the one available in the PPA linked above.
