This had to have been a joke as you can't actually delete hotmail email and Ubuntu does work quite nicely on Macs as someone else noted.
Whether or not it was appropriate I will not comment on, whether or not it was funny??
Come on guys and gals it was funny as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

    Edit:
And if someone considering ANY Linux distro can't get it>>> LET THEM LANGUISH IN WINDOWS HELL.

One thing about working nicely on macs: If you have an older, PPC based mac, you can't use the same cd. You need a version of the distro compiled for that architecture.

    Good Troll, or Greatest Troll?

No, older Intel Macs will run Linux fine, but the newer (Santa Rosa and on) use crappy wireless cards and do stupid things with ACPI, making getting Linux to work on them too frustrating to bother.

its definitely true that the new santa rosa wireless chips aren't supported by ubuntu out of the box.

honestly, machines like the macbook pro should have complete hardware support in ubuntu 8.04 right after being installed.

or there should be a special modified ubuntu 8.04 disc image you can download that already has the drivers incorporated...
