Ubuntu (Fiesty Fawn) works fine on my Acer Aspire 5040 laptop. Full functionality as far as I can tell (I'm not new to Linux, having used a few distros on desktop computers). The only thing that doesn't work is wireless networking on the Broadcom card. Anyone successfully gotten this to work on an Acer?

Go to ubuntuforums.org and search for Broadcom. You should be able to find good instructions on using NDISWrapper to enable wireless.
