Hey, was wondering if you guys recommended a program that will transcode mpeg's to AVI's or to another format that my 360 will read. I've looked around and haven't really found anything that'll get the job done. I'm using CentOS 5.
Also, I've been reading about MediaTomb, was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with that. Thanks guys

Have you tried Avidemux?

Well, That program looks like it's a converter, what Im trying to accomplish is to transcode all of my MPEG's to something the 360 can play (avi) on the fly. I have a lot of 1080P MPEG's that would take weeks to convert.
Plus, I don't have an X server configured on my CentOS box, I'm running command line only. I'll configure an X server if needed, but I like running command line personally.
Thanks! -
Try Handbrake. You can use HandbrakeCLI, which actually works pretty well from my experience.

yeah... handbrake is really what you want to go for. you can download it from http://handbrake.fr/?article=download (they have both the source and the binary)
see here for a compile guide: http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/CompileGuide#lingui
they have presets in there for converting to formats compatible with certain systems(including XBox 360)
Transcode Program?
