If you haven't tried Sabayon, give it a shot. It just works - is the motto and it does just that.

It's a Gentoo based distro that is easily installed and runs well from the live dvd. Also includes lots of install options (scroll down on the boot screen on the dvd). It's my personal fav and the new artwork is nice. The only thing I don't care for is the chicken foot logo, but that goes with the name. Give it a shot and get it while it's hot.

isn't sabayon an egg custard dessert? ;)

I think it's a cool distro, but the whole gentoo compile everything every time would get old real quick, if it was me.

I know there are Linux people around here who use Sabayon...they will certainly upgrade.

Oh how I wish I had known about Sabayon earlier. I wouldn't have had to figure out which packages do what I needed. And an instant-gratification install would have been nice.

I'm going to try this out soon. 3.26 is nearly perfect, I'd love to see if 3.3 offers something better.

Sabayon as a whole is very simple to use. Its like the Ubuntu or PCLinux of the Gentoo world.

Yes it does. It can detect and behave with just about every other operating system out there.

Yeah, as far as Portage distros go, Sabayon is very nice. It's very well presented, but I just don't like portage lol.
