I installed my Ubuntu with a DVD I burned, in windows. My Windows Vista 32-bit sees Ubuntu as an application taking up about 8GB (cause that's how much I told ubuntu to keep for space). So would it be an alright idea to uninstall it from windows or should I go about this a different way? thanks!

Uninstall it with Windows. If that doesn't work, try using the disk to see if it has an uninstall utility.

You used Wubi; a program that lets you try Ubuntu without partitioning your drive or changing your bootloader. It creates a virtual partition that exists as a file on your windows filesystem You can completely remove Ubuntu from within Windows. There is no Uninstaller on the Disk.

Thank you both, it worked flawlessly (and remarkably quickly, under a minute) to remove it with windows.

    Thanks!
