    Wow I didn't know that... he looks like a crazy guy...

    Guess I won't be trying Reisersfs partitions :p I always just used regular old Ext3 anyways.

    Yeah, he cut a deal with the DA to lower his sentence by revealing the location of his wife's corpse. Even so, he'll be out for at least 15 years. And what's more, his company Namesys just went under, the ReiserFS mailing lists have gone stagnant, and its devs seem to be losing faith.

    It's a very unfortunate circumstance. Reiser was a brilliant engineer, and it's sad that all his work is now going to be left in the dust. That's nothing to his defence, though. The fool brought it upon himself.

    Yes, this has been in the Linux news for a while. Not a good situation. Don't know what will happen with the ReiserFS now... Has anybody stepped up to take over the work and maintenance?

    Yep.....we (I actually) started a thread on this guy a few months back...looks like he did some plea bargaining to soften his sentence. I've been using EXT3 for months now.... :D
