So far I have used OpenOffice for powerpoint, but lately it seems to be unable to wrap text within the slide. For some reason it doesnt automatically put the "enter" character at the end of a line when it reaches the border of the slide, and it keeps going until there is actually an "enter" character in the text, then it starts a new line and continues off the slide..

So basically, after some googling I am unable to come up with a worthwhile fix (since i have about 15 presentations with about 50 slides in each, I'm not about to edit each slide so that it works.). Now, I'm either looking for someone who knows a fix that I can apply to one slide and it will automatically apply it to the rest, or if there is some other presentation software out there that is good enough to edit slides.

    2.4.1

and I think I figured out what is causing this problem. My teacher gives his notes in .ppt format, but when I re-save them with my additions I save them in .odt format. I tried leaving them as .ppt format and they work fine.

If there is a fix though, I would still like it since it will involve quite a bit of copy/paste to get my additional notes from my .odt slides to a new .ppt slide..

Why don't you try OpenOffice 3.0? It has much better interoperability with MS Office. Plus it's prettier.
