I set up an EXT3 partition and swap file and installed the OS. However, after selecting Ubuntu upon the Gnome selector, it stops booting up only going to about 15% boot completion. Any ideas? I've gone onto the Ubuntu forums, and it seems some 64 bit users are having similar problems. I'm currently downloading the normal 32 bit version, of which I'll install unless someone provides a solution for my current conundrum :(

I too hear that the 64 bit Edgy release is plagued with issues. Many people have just reverted back to the 32 bit edition, which is well tested (by more people as well). If you can't boot at all, then you do need to try the 32-bit edition, unless you CD you made was faulty. Did you burn a 64-bit .iso image? CD errors can happen sometime. You should always run the CD Checks before using a Linux distro install CD you made yourself.

Well anyways right now I'm burning the 32 bit version ISO onto a DVD.
