This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    thanks! PCLinuxOS is an underappreciated distro in my opinion. Everyone always gets excited about distros like Ubuntu, Mint and Fedora, it seems, but PCLinuxOS has always been one of my favorites--and it's one of the few I trot out when I am trying to get someone new to Linux to give it a try

    It works on my Precision! the first non ubuntu OS I've found that properly detects the graphics card...downloading a clean copy now....

    Haha nice, that's one finicky machine you've got. Personally I'm going back to Opensuse right now, I'm on Mint 6.

    I couldn't ever use PCLOS on my Asus because of the wireless card....could never get ndiswrapper to work right. This will be my first foray with this one.

    EDIT: This Mint Xfce is so nice, I just can't snuff it out with a PCLOS install....I don't think....LOL
