Nice review. Tell me, did you think that the K-menu was an absolute mess?

Frankly, no. But, that may be because I am used to it and know where things are. For the most part I find it very logical. It is easy to modify it though. Just right click on it and select "Menu Editor". Oh, and while you are there, you can change the style to KICKOFF. That way you can just type the name (or part of the name) to find the app you are looking for.

Does anyone know if PClinuxOS 2008 supports the intel 4965agn wireless card in this release? I had to chuck it because of that a while back because I was told on the forum that no one had been successful. I was using the gnome version btw.

rm2: nice review....but for me I noticed you're using a common linux supported wireless card....I was hoping you had mine :D

Unfortunately, I don't know. But, finding out is just one download away! ;) And yes, I went with hardware that I knew was well supported under Linux. I like to make things easy for myself.

My intel 4965 has embedded support in Kernel xxx.23.....fortunately though for me, ubuntu worked OTB...so I guess I don't have any complaints since I bought this laptop with gaming in mind ;)
