    Hello...
I have a sony vaio laptop with a non original battery...

I can work with my computer, but when i shut it down and try to power up it again I have to unplug the battery and plug the ac power adapter so i can power it up correctly!
Another thing is that the battery light blinks everytime, when battery is connected..

I read that this is a problem with Sony programs running in the background, but so far i haven't found a solution to this problem in ubuntu...

    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks

Sounds like a hardware problem to me. In other words, the problem is not Ubuntu.

If you think the problem is Ubuntu, can you explain how you infer that?
