I swear to jesus christ, buddha, john stewart and mickey mouse I have to be the dumbest person on the planet without realizing it. How is it that I always somehow lose data?

My hard drives are as follows

    sda- Vista

    sdb-1 10GB arch
    sdb2-20GB ubuntu root
    sdb3-lots of GB ubuntu /home
    sdb4- Swap

Tell arch installer, sdb1 is root and sdb4 is swap.....

Doot doo, anyways I quit the install cause I realised I have no idea how to see what's going on during the ftp stuff and for all I know I could be getting 1kb. I let grub go into windows, as currently it's my default. MY ubuntuinstall is still semi gimped, cause I have yet to finish setting it up from last format. "error something yada yada"

Boot into ubuntu. MY vista drive is now /var

    $@#$@#$#@$@#

    Now to reimage vista....

then get back to installing arch. More likely wait til I get my next laptop. Meh. oh well

pacman's output gets piped to tty5 (I think), so just press "Alt+F5" to see it. :)

"Alt+F1" takes you back to the first terminal.

Don't give up! Good things come to those who run after them.

Did you not read my other post? I did core. The core install didn't have my wifi and I was told I should do ftp, cause I'd have to do a full system upgrade anyways AND the ftp would have my wifi.

I dunno. I had some text open in alt f2, was pinging the ftp in alt f3 and playing with netstat in alt f4...
