I just installed Ubuntu 6.06 on a spare 40 gig drive I installed in my Dell Smartstep. I got everything up and running, and then ran "sudo oem-config-prepare". I put in my username and password, and now it won't recognize any version of either that I can enter. It refuses to let me log on.

Any suggestions, before I reformat, and reinstall?
