This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Every year when I come home from the Persion Gulf I briefly dabble with a linux install only to revert back to windows.

    I soooo don't want to mess with repositories etc. yet I really want to get away from the crap that M>S> keeps puking out.

    I think with the info. from the links you provided I'll be able to manage a nice dual boot (I still want to play high end games) without having to lear about kernals, code, etc.
