    Hi!

ok here is the thing, I have an older HP the pavillion 7955. I had ubuntu, but than tried to put kubuntu on it, 60 percent into the installation had message popped up and said failed to copy (File directory). so i pushed in the power button to restart the installation.

After the HP logo showed i got a message saying :

    GRUB LOADING PLEASE WAIT.......
    ERROR 15

I have tried to push esc when the logo shows to try to boot from the cd rom drive (drive D) however that no longer works. Please help!

i also recorded a video showing the problem...

    Can you go into BIOS?
Change the boot order at the HP flash screen.

I keep a live cd of GAG around for such instances. If you use the uninstall option, it will clear grub (or any other boot manager) out of the mbr. It is quicker than having to reconfigure BIOS.
