This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have a dual boot setup with XP Pro and Ubuntu Linux. My problem is that I have NO idea where to get all the drivers I need. I have no wireless etc...

    Moved this from Asus forum as its not really a asus specific issue, the problem of finding drivers for linux is more universal.

    Hi Deus. What notebook do you have? Do you know what hardware is in it? (e.g., What's the wireless card you're using? Who's the manufacturer, what's the model number, etc.) If you don't know, you can try to find the specifications of your notebook by creative Google searching. You can also check to see if your notebook's already been tested by an Ubuntu user or staff member by looking through the LaptopTestingTeam page on the Ubuntu wiki.

    Once you've gathered your information, head over to the Laptop Support Forum on the Ubuntu forums, post a new thread requesting help, and be as detailed as you can. The more information you provide, the more likely that someone on there will figure out how to help.
