My X200 will be delivered a few weeks from now and I plan to ditch the Window bandwagon. I'm opting for a Linux OS. I know there is no such thing as "the best Linux distro" out there. But I am more concerned with compatibility with my hardware and its compatibility with my lifestyle.

Here are some things to consider:
    1. I tried running Ubuntu once, it was nice.
    2. This laptop will be my only computer.
    3. I'll be using it for schoolwork.
    4. I'm computer illiterate but I won't spend hours tweeking (or even compiling) stuff.

Thank you for the responses that I may get. :)

You could try Linux Mint, it's pretty cool and based on ubuntu.

I have been reading up on this Linux Mint and it does seem an improvement from Ubuntu.
