    I constantly run top.
I also usually have 50 + tabs open.
Lately I'm seeng two firefox-bin processes running in top. Cant figure out why.
Whenver I see it, I kill the second firefox process. It disappears from top, with no effect on open firefox windows.
But after a while, it seems to reappear.

    Do I have a worm/virus ?

    This is in SLED10

There are legitimate reasons why firefox-bin would appear twice. I do not have a list of such reasons however. I remember a time when I had sound problems in firefox that at that time (I do not know whether this still holds) firefox would fork to handle some media. So firefox-bin would appear twice in the process table. There was nothing shady going on. Unless you have other indications that there's something amiss, I would not think there's anything shady going on in your case either.
