    Keyboard key change in Linux Mint

    I have an english keyboard but i need to have a key that inputs a specific character. ç that is not usually found in english keyboards, is there a way to give that character to a key?

    You probably want to assign a compose key (usually AltGr). It depends on what version of gnome you are using. Prior to gnome 3.6 you can go to settings->region and language->layout->options and expand the Compose Key Position. After Gnome 3.6 it is under settings->keyboard->shortcuts->typing->compose key

    Then you would press AltGr (for instance) followed by , and then c to get ç

    I am getting a ¢ when i click , c what could be the reason?

    What led up to the mouse click making a character? What did you change or install?

    I am not making any mouse click. It just seems by default when i click ", c" i get ¢ instead of ç

    I discovered the reason is that in English Keyboard of UK extraction that ¢ is the result for "AltGr" + "comma symbol" + "c".

    Is there anyway to change this? I need to have the UK keyboard set.
